It seems that Ledger has been hit yet with another error that hundreds of users are experiencing. The error is based around ETH, in particular, that ETC transactions are not being sent by Ledger Live. This has caused numerous customers to fill in complaints and in outmost frustration.

In this tutorial, we will go through an alternative solution to this major issue. This is a serious matter, so let’s dive right in!

Solution

Make sure you are using the latest version of Ledger Live.

Use fronted third-party wallets to complete ETC transactions

a) Vist the mycrypto.com website where you can gain access to your funds stored on your Ledger wallet

b) Select Ledger (as circled in red) to access your funds.

c) Connect to Ledger and unlock it by entering the PIN, open the Ethereum app on your device, then click ‘Connect to Ledger Wallet’.

d) Select the ETH address from the pop-up window that you want to send ETC to, and then click ‘Unlock’.

e) After clicking the ‘Unlock’ button you get a new window as in the image below. Enter ETH address in the box, enter the amount you want to send, select transaction fee, and confirm by pressing ‘Send Transaction’.

Conclusion

When sending ETC from your Ledger you might find that the transaction won’t complete. One possible explanation for this is that ETC explorers have not yet been updated following the last hard fork. However, you can still send ETH from your Ledger directly by using a third-party fronted wallet. This tutorial goes over the steps of doing exactly that. So, you should now no longer be stuck with this error, and be on your way!
